Inverleith B (A) Drew 1-1

The sun was shining down at Currie High for Saturday’s showdown with Inverleith. The team arrived feeling confident that the first win of the season was just around the corner. Unfortunately things do not always go to plan and with no umpire at hand the initial confidence of a win appeared premature. With some gentle persuasion one of the Inverleith men from the B team very kindly agreed to do us a favour!
The match started well, but Inverleith were putting pressure on our defence. After substantial pressure from the Inverleith forwards a somewhat scrappy goal was conceded .Credit to the team as we all kept our heads up and a well placed pass from midfielder Leanne Ferguson put the team back on level terms. Inverleith had multiple short corners but thanks to our great defence we did not concede any more goals. So we were happy to walk off
the pitch at full time with a draw. The team were great and a lot of players picked up their game throughout.
