Quiz

Thanks to Jane Robertson for her wonderful quiz at the Clubhouse on Saturday. It was a great turn out and from what I remember a great night. Well done to the winners and the losers!!

Next up on the social scene is the Ball on 22nd November at the Apex City in the Grassmarket. See you there!!

End of Season Dinner 2008

With the season over, all that remained was for the prizes to be handed out. The Watsonians Annual Awards Dinner and Disco was held at Myreside on Saturday 10th May.

Festivities started early in the day with the Men's 1's and Fin and Swanny heading for the Merchant's Golf Course for a 3 club challenge. Renowned for being the most honest man in Scottish hockey, David Sweetman has now been outed as an unscrupulous bandit after gifting himself a handicap of 18 which unsurprisingly allowed him to clean up!

The dinner was attended by a very healthy 85 folk from all teams and some old faces! The reverse bingo and raffle brought in some welcome funds for the club. Kerr will be happy!

Kath seems to be in disbelief at the moves on the floor!

After dinner the awards were handed out and the disco commenced with some very dubious shapes being thrown on the dancefloor! As usual the dinner continues to be the highlight of the social calendar. Roll on the Ball in November!
