Watsonians Youth Section

A Happy New Year to all Watsonians Youth players!

Some of our U14 stars are in action on Sunday 11 January in the East League finals at Meggetland.  The 1s play Grange at 9am, then the Development squad and the 3s both play Inverleith teams at 9.30am.  All teams will play again later that morning to determine final positions.    Why not pop along and support our young players, but wrap up warm!

All youth training re-starts on Sunday 18 January at Watsons, at the usual times.

Youth Coaching - Revised Training times

The times of our Sunday coaching sessions have been changed with effect from 28 September.  The new times are:

10am-11am: U16 Girls (all S3 & S4 players).  All S3 boys who aren't attending Men's training are also welcome to join this new session.

11am-12 noon: U12 & U10 Girls and Boys (P4-P7) - unchanged time

12 noon-1.15pm: U14 Girls and Boys (S1 & S2) - new time. Warm-up on the small astro pitch from 12 noon-12.15pm and then move to the large astro.

These changes have been made to cater for the large numbers attending our coaching sessions.  By running a separate U16 session we will have more space for the U14s.

Please remember to bring a mouthguard, shinguards and a water bottle. Sticks can be provided. Sessions are run by an experienced, qualified coaching team and volunteers.  The first session is free. Thereafter, the annual subscription is only £40, covering all coaching, matches,  insurance, etc.
