East U18s and U16s have won the Scottish Inter-District championships at Peffermill after beating West in two thrilling finals.
The U16s won all their matches en-route to the final, which finished 1-1 with Lucy Hogarth scoring the goal. The East Girls held their nerve in running penalties, with Katie MacCallum scoring the winning penalty in a 3-2 win.
The U18s, captained by Lucy Gray, won 2-0 in their final to lift the trophy and gain revenge for their defeat to West in the Group stages.
All seven Watsonians girls in the U16s and four in the U18s played superbly all weekend and fully deserved their success and their post-match pizzas! The U16 coaching team included 3 Watsonians: Gordon Wilson (Head Coach); Jo Greig (Goalie Coach) and Emma Brian (Manager), and Nikki Robertson was the U18 Goalie Coach.
Congratulations to everyone!
