Friday 27th June - evening

The Men’s and Ladies 1st XI will be competing in exhibition matches at Peffermill on Friday evening. These matches will bring together current and former members of the first XI teams in a Legends game, allowing the reunion of former teammates and the celebration of the talents that have helped shape our performance teams into the dominant sides that they are today.

Saturday 28th June - daytime

Join us from 10am to 1pm for a social mixed hockey tournament at the Tipperlinn pitch at George Watsons College, followed by a barbeque and beverages in (hopefully) some summer sunshine. All abilities are welcome, and the barbeque and tournament will be free for all attending the Centenary dinner in the evening. The mixed tournament will then be followed by a former players ‘old boys’ match from 1:30 to 3pm.

Saturday 28th June – evening

The headline event of the Centenary weekend will be our celebratory black-tie dinner in the Assembly Hall at George Watsons College on the evening of Saturday 28th June. Join current and former players, friends, family, members of the community and other supporters of the Club for a very special evening.

You will be welcomed by an exhibition of memorabilia and photographs to commemorate some of the many fond memories arising across the past 100 years.

Please then be seated for a delightful three course dinner, accompanied by complementary fine wine. Please arrive at [7pm for a 7:30pm seating].

Throughout the evening, you will hear from current and former members of the club, who will share stories of the history of The Watsonian Hockey Club and their own fond memories and favourite experiences.

Prestigious Centenary awards will be presented to celebrate both the achievements and commitment of specific individuals and teams that have shaped the history of the Club, before you have the opportunity to dance the rest of the night away with new and old friends thanks to a live DJ.

Sunday 29th June - morning

The morning of Sunday 29th will see the next generation of the Watsonian Hockey Club take to Tipperlinn to partake in a Centenary Youth Tournament. A number of matches will be underway from 11am, and we will be in touch with further registration information for our youth players.

- Celebratory Centenary memorabilia will be revealed in the coming months and will be available for purchase both in the run up to the Centenary Weekend, and at the Centenary dinner.

- We will be making an appeal for pictures and memorabilia for inclusion in the exhibition over the coming months so please keep an eye out and start digging out your most embarrassing photographs…
