Ladies 4s vs Kelso

Battered and bruised somewhat sums up today's game for the ladies fours. 10 of us made the trip down the road to Kelso where we were met with an army of small children who seemed to sub every 2 seconds...

We had to play about with positions a fair bit as it was a completely different team from the previous week so it took a while and a bit of swapping about mid game to final settle on what worked best of us. We were 2 goals down at half time after a barrage of shots on goal (and multiple bruises saving them...) but found our rhythm and came out like a different team in the second half, despite Leanne having to be bandaged up after an encounter with the astro and her knees and Ang injuring her back, shutting down the Kelso defence and getting a really nice passing game going.

We were unlucky to have a short corner goal disallowed for being smidgen high and they got a final goal late in the third half but was encouraging play from a weary team who busted a gut today. 3-0 loss but under the circumstances we did pretty damn well! Onwards and upwards ladies, lets regroup and get a win next week and don't forget it's back to the clubhouse after for crisps and coke after.
