Ladies 4s vs Edin Uni

Relentless was how Tammy summed up the fours game against Edinburgh Uni 8's and that's certainly how it felt! Always difficult to play on the Peffermill pitch, especially when it's dry and I think that put a dent in our usually solid passing game as the ball just wasn't reacting to the passes. The Uni did a good job of picking up on any loose balls going and had the upper edge with their flick and go style of play which resulted in them being in the D a lot!

Obviously they we...re well drilled so we couldn't rely on them making mistakes to turn it over but we held our own well despite the battering the defence took. We were also victims of the low sun again causing problems in the first half with the two dark strips difficult to pick out.

We did well to hold it to 2-0 at half time and definitely gelled a bit better in the 2nd half to push the ball up the pitch more and Leanne scored a trademark thumper of a goal at the end to pull one back for us to leave the final score 3-1. We'll get 'em on the return leg ladies!
