Match report by Rebecca Parker.

After a two week hiatus Ladies 4s were on the road again, this time to Dunbar. Another week without keeper Katie and only one self proclaimed defender, sonians were up against it from the off. Luckily Sophie was keen to keep a low profile amongst her former team mates and agreed to disguise herself in goalie kit or risk being run out of town. Also daring to show her face after the 'bum shuffle' incident, Jodie was back to resume her old position of right back to bolster the defence of Lynsey, Becca and Suze.

Watsonians pressed high from the start with Julia, Carly and Jenny working hard to carry the ball up the field. We were looking threatening in the oppositions D but Dunbar's defence were strong and their keeper nifty. Shot after shot was deflected and several unsuccessful shorts passed sonians by. Perseverence paid off though, as another short was awarded and Suze hammered it home on the rebound to put the visitors 1-0 up.

We continued to press and a fracas in the D lead to the umpire signalling for a penalty flick. Holly dusted herself off and stepped up to the mark. The pressure proved all too much though and the ball was sent just wide of the post. Quick to make up for the missed opportunity, Holly showed off her skills winding round the Dunbar defence and passing to Alex at the back post who coolly tapped it in just before half time.

Second half saw Dunbar make a few dangerous looking breaks, no trouble for Suze though who seemed to have every corner of the pitch covered. Thankfully L4s also had their super striker Olivia back after surgery who took on Dunbar's back 4 to add her name to the score sheet and extend the lead to 3 goals to nil. The final goal came from another short corner in a beautiful demonstration of the infamous Killer K (possibly the only time it's ever actually gone to plan). The ball was slipped right to Liv who passed it back in to Suze and you guessed it - another Suzanne short corner special. Back of the net.

In the final minutes of the game Dunbar threw everything at us but a rousing call from Suze had us determined not to concede. A shot on goal was miraculously intercepted by Carly who came from nowhere to safely deposit the ball out of harm's way. Final whistle blew and our clean sheet maintained. Another good result for L4s away from home.
