The Watsonian Hockey Club

The Watsonians Colts 1s play in the top East 1 Division and finished 4th out of 11 teams in 2024/25. They are our top Colts team with Colts 2 and Colts 3s playing in East 2 and East 3 respectively. Main aim of Colts 1s is further developing the boys playing in the club's youth section. The team provides a conduit for these boys to experience men's senior hockey, from the age of 14 onwards. The side is made up of a small number of experienced senior player, who have a passion to encourage and develop the younger members of the squad, to then hopefully see them progress up through the club and beyond.

Carrying on from the fine work, which George Thornton and his coaching team, achieve year after year. The Colts will not only give these exceptional schoolboys the opportunity to experience men’s senior hockey, but also aid in their development as both players and individuals. We work towards enjoyment, communication, discipline and development. building a passion for the game that will last for many years to come.
